Death threat to journalist protested A protest rally was held by Brahmanbaria Television Journalists' Association (BTJA) in front of Brahmanbaria Press Club on Tuesday morning. -AA

Journalists in Brahmanbaria on Tuesday protested the death threat given to Daily Manabzamin staff reporter Jabed Rahim Bijon over the publication of a report regarding the graft and irregularities of Akhaura Municipal Mayor Takjil Khalifa Kajal.

Local journalists working in print and electronic media took part at a protest rally organized by Brahmanbaria Television Journalists' Association (BTJA) in the morning in front of Brahmanbaria Press Club.

Brahmanbaria Press Club President KAM Rashidul Islam, former President Mohammad Arzu, Senior Vice President Al Amin Shaheen, BTJA General Secretary Riaz Uddin Jami, among others, addressed the rally chaired by BTJA President Monjurul Alam.

Expressing concern about the security of journalists, speakers urged the authorities concerned to take immediate action against the culprits who gave threat to Journalist Bijon. They also called upon Law Minister Anisul Huq for not sheltering the terrorists.
