Saurashtra women's under-23 skipper Riddhi Ruparel had been dreaming to meet her 'cricket idol' Mushfiqur Rahim for long. Her dream came true when she encountered Mushy during Tigers' practice session at Saurashtra Cricket Association Stadium in Rajkot on Tuesday where they are scheduled to play the second T20I against hosts India.

Few cricketers of Riddhi's team were watching the training session. Though all left the stadium after a while Riddhi Ruparel remained there and waited till the end of the practice just to meet Mushfiqur Rahim.

She even played for Kalabagan in Bangladesh and wanted to meet him and Shakib Al Hasan during that time, but couldn't as they were busy in another tournament. Finally, Riddhi's wish got fulfilled as she met her idol, chatted for a while, took some tips and clicked some pictures.

"Mushfiqur's height is the same as mine. I always prefer to see someone as my idol, who has the same height as mine and who is also a wicket-keeper batsman. He played exceptionally well in the last match. The way he hit four fours in a row after Krunal dropped the catch, it's something like a dream for a wicket-keeper batsman."

"Last year, I came to Bangladesh to play for Kalabagan. I went to see Mushfiqur and also wanted to meet Shakib. But they were busy in another tournament," she continued.

When asked about being a fan of Mushfiqur Rahim though there are a good number of star cricketers in India, Riddhi answered, "Yes, I like Indian cricketers as well, like MS Dhoni. But their playing style is very different. Mushfiqur's playing style is like mine, that's why I see him as my idol,".
