Directorate General of Drugs Administration Director General Major General Md Mahbubur Rahman cutting a ribbon to open a model pharmacy at Ad-din Hospital in the capital's Moghbazar on Tuesday.
The pharmacy of Ad-din Hospital at Moghbazar in the capital has got the recognition as 'model pharmacy'. Approved by the Directorate General of Drugs Administration, the pharmacy was formally opened on Tuesday.
Drugs Administration Director General Major General Md Mahbubur Rahman attended the opening ceremony as the chief guest. Ad-din Hospital Executive Director Dr Sheikh Mohiuddin, Ad-din Hospital Director Dr Nahid Yeasmin, Ad-din Women's Medical College Principal Prof Afiquor Rahman, among others, were present at the event.
Major General Md Mahbubur Rahman said, "Ad-din hospital pharmacy has been declared as model pharmacy under the pilot project of Bangladesh government. We will supervise model pharmacy continuously. If model pharmacy breaks any condition, legal action will be taken against them."
Ad-din Hospital Executive Director Dr Sheikh Mohiuddin said, "Model pharmacy is an epoch-making initiative of the government. Model pharmacy will play a vital role to maintain the quality of the medicines. We always try utmost to maintain the standard of a model pharmacy."
Ad-din Hospital Director Dr Nahid Yeasmin said the pharmacists of Ad-din hospital provide medicines as per prescription efficiently. She hoped that Ad-din will go ahead with the new journey of model pharmacy.
