Imran makes courtesy call on Mahathir


Expatriates Welfare and Overseas Employment Minister Imran Ahmed on Thursday paid a courtesy call on Malaysian Prime Minister Dr Mahathir Mohamad at his office in Kuala Lumpur.

During the meeting, Imran Ahmed conveyed a message of greetings of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina to Malaysian Prime Minister Dr Mahathir Mohamad and highlighted diplomatic relations amongst the two friendly countries, according to a message received Thursday.

Bangladesh Minister also gave thanks to Malaysian Prime Minister Dr Mahathir Mohamad for his bold stand beside Bangladesh on various issues, the message said.

They discussed about Bangladesh's current labour market with Dr Mahathir fruitfully and sought cooperation for recruiting more Bangladeshi nationals in different sectors, reports BSS.

Imran Ahmed is currently in Malaysia on an official visit. During the meeting, Secretary of the Ministry Md Selim Reza and officials of Malaysia concerned were present.
