Late BNP leader Sadeque Hossain Khoka's son Ishraque Hossain has called upon Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina to ensure Bangladesh's future. Ishraque Hossain said this on Thursday when Sadeque Hossain Khoka's body was kept for a while at the central Shaheed Minar for mass tributes.
Ishraque Hossain said, "My father is a victim of the vindictive politics of Bangladesh. My family suffers for the same reason. I have spent last five years with my father and learned a lot of things from him. My father often said that the glorious Liberation War was fought to establish democracy."
Bangladesh has two guardians-one is Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina and another is Begum Khaleda Zia who is inside jail at this moment, Ishraque Hossain further said. Ishraque Hossain urged Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina to sit for negotiation with Khaleda Zia. He said that all politicians should work together to free politics from vengeance. He expressed gratitude to general people for paying homage to his father.
Leaders who visited the central Shaheed Minar to pay tribute to Sadeque Hossain Khoka are Mujahidul Islam Selim, President of Communist Party of Bangladesh (CPB), Khalequzzaman, Abu Sayeed, Subrata Chowdhury, ASM Abdur Rab, Mahmudur Rahman Manna, Jonayed Saki, Dr Zafrullah Chowdhury, Fakir Alamgir, DUCSU VP Nurul Haque Nur and so on. Senior BNP leaders including BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam were present too.
