"Mona was this really smart topper in our class, while I was this sleepyhead backbencher. We were from two different worlds! I always found her pretty, but we never spoke. But somehow through a common friend, we met once and chatted for half an hour! We became friends, but nothing more and once college got over, we lost touch completely. After a year, when it was my birthday, she randomly called me. We started talking about all that was happening in our lives. I used to solo travel a lot, and I told her all about it. She was so excited - we even decided to meet.

Both our offices were closely, so we started meeting everyday after work to discuss this grand trip. The cities, the hotels-we spoke about it all. It was so much fun! I started getting excited less because of the destinations and more because I was going with her - somewhere I started to like her. Somehow though, on the first try, both our visas got rejected. We didn't give up and applied for the second time.

From Paris to Amsterdam to Prague we had conversations that lasted until sunrise and created memories that I couldn't even imagine. Somewhere along the way, we realized we had feelings for each other, so by the end of that trip we were officially dating!

After we came back, we knew two things- one that we were going to be together for a long time, and second that we were going to travel the world together. So we began saving every spare penny for our travel fund. We both have full time jobs, so we cut a lot of corners by eating at home and spending less on materialistic things! So for now we're just enjoying the journey - we want to strike every place in the world off our list and we're really hustling for it! I mean, what better excuse for her to steal all my t-shirts and blame it on saving for the travel fund?"
