Navy ready to face Bulbul

Navy ready to face Bulbul Officials of Bangladesh Navy lifting relief materials to a ship as part of preparations to face Cyclone Bulbul, in Khulna Naval territory on Saturday. -AA

Bangladesh Navy has completed all its preparations across the country to face the cyclone Bulbul. With a view to ensuring emergency rescue, relief distribution and medical support 5 warships for Barishal, Jhalkathi, Patuakhali, Barguna and Satkhira , 3 warships for Chottogram and 2 warships and naval contingents have been made ready for the deployment  of tackling the emergency situations of cyclone Bulbul.

With the overall coordination of navy, tourists who have remained stuck in sea beaches, they are being provided with safe residential places and necessary stuffs.

The ships which have been allotted to distribute reliefs from Khulna naval territory will be able to supply around 2,000 packets of food to the distressed areas of Barishal, Jhalkathi,Patuakhali, Barguna, Satkhira and nearby places. Bangladesh Navy has adopted a 3-steps working plan consulting with Ministry of Disaster Management and Relief as well as local administrations.
