Urging all to make smooth the way of economic empowerment of women to achieve the ultimate development of the country, Jatiya Sangsad (JS) Speaker Dr Shirin Sharmin Choudhury has said women should be taken forward to ensure the inclusive development and inclusive growth.
She was addressing as the chief guest the inaugural ceremony of the Activism Campaign-2019 program organized by Dhaka North City Corporation (DNCC) at Gulshan Youth Club in the city on Friday.Speaker said, "Bangladesh is now a bright example of women's empowerment under the dynamic leadership of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina."
"Today, the opportunity of higher education for women has increased as the government has taken various initiatives, including offering scholarship and forming the Prime Minister's Education Assistance Trust," she added.

Through proper enforcement of the law, violence against women will reduce," she said.Md Abdul Hai, chief executive officer of DNCC, delivered the welcome speech.
Chaired by DNCC Mayor Md Atikul Islam, the program was also addressed by AKM Rahmatullah MP, Nahid Ijahar Khan MP, Aparajita Haque MP, Umme Fatema Nazma Begum Sheuly Azad MP, IGP Dr Mohammad Javed Patwary, Norwegian Ambassador Sidsel Bleken, Swedish Ambassador Charlotta Schlyter, former national Cricket team captain Shakib Al Hasan and IPDC Managing Director Mominul Islam.
