After completing her graduation in Business, Farhana launched her business through F-commerce back in 2015 with a passion to create one of a kind shopping experience. A strong desire to create a platform where women of all ages, shapes, sizes and budgets could find their dream outfit motivated to choose this business.
Not just the perfect outfit, but the other accessories including shoes, earrings, and purse are needed to complete the whole look. Think of anything; it is available in Diva's style. She wanted to create a sense of fashion that was obtainable to everyone, because what a person is wearing strongly impacts their confidence and how they feel.
Started with as little as 5000 BDT only, the business is worth more than 4 million now. She currently has a team of 25 employees. Initially she imported products from neighboring countries; but now she makes her own designed productions here in Bangladesh. Biggest support came from her husband who selflessly left his graphics designing career to help grow the company alongside.
She is thankful for what she gets to do every day, and the team is considered as family; she believes, this is what makes their company a successful one today. In future, she looks forward to open an outlet as till now her business is fully online based. Farhana urged youngsters to complete their education and start doing something on their own, as looking for jobs and getting one can be a long and frustrating process. Being your own boss is lucrative relatively.
Following own passion and turning it to profession can be a great solution to a large number of fresh graduates. In Bangladesh, the term 'entrepreneur' is not a taboo anymore, government is also funding various start up ideas to turn into profit generating projects. In this digital era doing something innovative is easier now, more than ever.
