Booters eye flying start Bangladesh Olympic football team is warming up in Kathmandu ahead of their today's opening match against Bhutan at Dashrath Stadium. - BFF

The Bangladesh Olympic football will launch their campaign against Bhutan in their opening match of the 13th South Asian Games at Dashrath Stadium in Kathmandu today before facing Nepal, Maldives and Bhutan in round-robin format matches.

The match kicks off at 1.15 pm (BST). Bangladesh won gold medals two times in SA Games, the first one was in 1999 and the second in 2010 in Dhaka and striker Nabib Newaz Zibon talking to the press yesterday said Bangladesh also have bright chance this time to win gold if they able to give hundred percent in the games.

Coach Jamie Day however admitted that the today's match against Bhutan will be very tough for them and at the same time he said the experience of preparation matches against Bhutan will be very helpful prior to the match against Bhutan. He also echoed the same statement of Zibon by saying that if the boys able to give their best , it will be possible to win gold medal this time.

The competition will be held in round robin league system with the semifinals will be held on December 8 while the final and place deciding matches is slated for December 10. All the matches will be held in Dashrath Stadium.

Bangladesh squad: Anisur Rahman, Pappu Hossain, Mahfuz Hasan Pritom, Biswanath Ghosh,Rahmat Mia,Yeasin Khan, Tutul Hossain, Riyadul Hasan, Sushanto Tripura, Jamal Bhuiyan, Biplob Ahmed, Mohammad Rabiul Hasan, Mohammad Al Amin, Mahbubur Rahman, Saad Uddin, Nabib Newaz Zibon, Rakib Hossain, Arifur Rahman and Mohammad Ibrahim.
