Malaysia for strong bi-lateral trade with BD Acting High Commissioner of Malaysia to Bangladesh Amir Farid Abu Hassan speaking at a seminar in the capital on Monday.

Malaysia's acting high commissioner to Bangladesh Amir Farid Abu bin Hasan has emphasized on exploring the business and investment opportunities and a developed bi-lateral trade between two brotherly countries in a seminar.

Bangladesh Malaysia Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BMCCI) accompanied with Malaysia External Trade Development Corporation (MATRADE) organized the seminar on "Business and Investment Opportunities in Bangladesh" on BMCCI office premises in the capital on Monday.

Oil, Gas, Chemicals and Energy Section of MATRADE Director and leader of the delegation Jai Shankar made the opening remarks on the occasion and briefed about the objectives of the mission.

BMCCI President Syed Moazzam Hossain presented a paper on "Overview of Bangladesh Market Landscape". He highlighted the present scenario of business and investment in Bangladesh. He urged Malaysian investors and businessmen to invest in the emerging economy of Bangladesh

Bangladesh Investment Development Authority (BIDA) Secretary and Director (Investment Research and Economic Observatory) Sumon Chowdhury presented a paper on "Investment Opportunities in Bangladesh" and Bangladesh Chemical Importers and Merchants Association Secretary General Abul Kalam Azad presented a paper on "The Demands and Opportunities for Chemicals and Chemical Products in Bangladesh".

An eight member delegation from MATRADE, BMCCI members, members of Bangladesh Chemical Importers and Merchants Association, officials from High Commission of Malaysia, business leaders, and journalists took part in the business seminar.
