Mimoh Chakraborty is in a happy space these days. The Rocky actor has bagged Kushan Nandy's next film. "I have just finished shooting for the film Jogira Sara Ra Ra with Nawazuddin Siddiqui. The story is based in Lucknow and I was shooting in the city for quite a long time, nearly a month," shared the actor excitedly revealing more details about the trip to the city, " I loved the galouti kebabs and the Tundey kebabs. The people of Lucknow are really welcoming. Unfortunately I didn't get time to roam around the city as we were shooting back to back since morning. Since I am a complete foodie at heart and Dastarkhwan restaurant was nearby only, we used to order food from there almost daily. This was my first visit to the city. Since a large part of the crew was also from Lucknow, I got to hear a lot of aap ko kuchh chahiye, aap theek hai from them, which was really nice to hear. The language of the city is so sweet."
Starting his Bollywood journey with the film Jimmy in 2008, Mimoh, who is Mithun Chakraborty and Yogeeta Bali's son, says he hasn't had it easy in the entertainment industry despite being a star kid. "Unfortunately, star kids are termed as insiders and others outsiders. See, if you have a Bollywood connection in the family, what max they can do is open the door for production houses for you. That's the only advantage. But they can't force any producer or director to cast you. I have been struggling for the last 12 years. For me the struggle is to find the right project where I can prove myself," he shared, adding " Till date I have gone for several auditions and waited in the queue for my chance. The probability of getting a role despite being an 'insider' is the same as other people. If nepotism was the only law, no one else would have been able to make it in Bollywood. Today so much has changed that everyone is getting an opportunity on the basis of their talent."
Telling us about his bond with dad Mithun, Mimoh said, "My dad has been very strict with me. He has always told me that I need to accept my failures. When I was starting off in Bollywood, he told me that as a father he would always be there for me. He has always advised me to be at it constantly and not give up."
