Light to moderately heavy falls forecasted over country
Light to moderate rain or thundershowers accompanied by temporary gusty wind is likely to occur at most places over Rajshahi, Dhaka, Mymensingh, Chattogram, Khulna, Barishal and Sylhet divisions and at many places over Rangpur division with moderately heavy to very heavy falls at places over the country.
Day and night temperature may remain nearly unchanged over the country, said a met office release here today.
The axis of monsoon trough runs through Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Sub-Himalayan, West Bengal to Assam across northern part of Bangladesh. One of its associated trough extends up to the North Bay. Monsoon is active over Bangladesh and moderate over the North Bay.
Country’s maximum temperature on Thursday was recorded 31.5 degree Celsius at Mongla and today’s minimum temperature 22.6 degree Celsius was recorded at Satkhira.
Maximum rainfall for the last 24 hours till 6:00am today was recorded at 110 millimeters (mm) at Cox’s Bazar.
The sun sets at 06.50 pm today and rises at 05.15 am tomorrow in the capital.
