Awami League candidates bag 7 seats, independent 2

A total of seven candidates from Awami League ticket while two independent candidates have been elected in union parishad election in Dacope upazila of Khulna on Tuesday. The first phase of Union Parishad Election 2021 has been held peacefully in Dacope upazila. According to the Upazila Election Officer Kazi Mahmud Hossain informed that, the polling was held in 9 unions of Dacope upazila in Khulna on Monday and the number of voters in 81 polling stations in 9 unions was 82,191.

According to the Dacope Election Office, the unofficially elected chairmen signed by 3 separate returning officers of the upazila are Sheikh Sabbir Ahmed (Independent candidate) of No 1 Pankhalli union; Binoy Krisno Roy of No 2 Dacope union; Mihir Mondol (AL) of No 4 Koilashganj union; Masum Ali Fakir (AL) of No 5 Sutarkhali union;

Panchanon Kumar Mondol (AL) of no 6 Kamarkhola union; Jalal Uddin Gazi (Independent candidate) of no 7 Tildanga union; Manas Kumar Roy (AL) of no 8 Bazua union; and Sudeb Kumar Roy (AL) of no 9 Banishanta union.  Besides, Sheikh Yuvraj, the Awami League candidate in No 3 Laudob Union, has already been elected uncontested.
