Prof Dr Md Mashiur Rahman, Vice-Chancellor (VC) of National University (NU), on Tuesday expressed profound shock at the death of Ekushey Padak winning eminent actor, play writer, director and teacher Dr Enamul Haque. In a condolence message, the NU Vice-Chancellor sought eternal peace of the departed soul and conveyed sympathy to the bereaved family members. The VC said, "Dr Enamul Haque took part in the movement-oriented drama with an aim to inspire the people of this country during the mass uprising of 1969.
Throughout his life, he has created a mixture of life and reality in the midst of drama. With his hands, the theater of Bangladesh is shining at an incomparable height today." Recalling the veteran actor, he further said, "Dr Enamul Haque will be remembered through his unique contributions to the country's theatre industry. People will remember him for his deeds."
