The ongoing mild heat wave is likely to
continue in different parts of the country, according to the Bangladesh
Meteorological Department.
"Mild Heat Wave is sweeping over Rajshahi, Dhaka and Khulna divisions and the
districts of Rangamati, Chandpur, Feni, Sylhet, Dinajpur, Panchagarh,
Nilphamari and Patuakhali and it may continue," said a met office bulletin
issued this morning.
It also predicted dry weather over the country in the next 24 hours
commencing at 9 am today.
Day and night temperature may remain nearly unchanged over the country, the
bulletin said.
The bulletin also said that, " The well-marked low over Southeast Bay and
adjoining south Andaman Sea intensified into a Depression over the same area
(Near Lat: 9.8øN, Lon: 92.5øE), and was centred at 06 AM today (20 March
2022). It is likely to intensify further and move in a North/North-easterly
direction."
The highest temperature on Friday was recorded 38.5 degree Celsius in
Rajshahi, while today's minimum temperature was 17.3 degree Celsius in
Srimangal under Sylhet division.
The sun sets at 6:10 pm today and rises at 6:02 am tomorrow in the capital.
