Today's students of the country will make 'Sonar Bangladesh', which Bangabandhu dreamt for, said Jatiya Sangsad Whip Iqbalur Rahim.
The ruling party lawmaker from Dinajpur-3 constituency came up with the remarks while inaugurating a 'Bangabandhu and Muktijoddha Corner' at Dinajpur Jubilee High School on Wednesday as the chief guest.
"Students will lead to graduate Bangladesh to a developed country by 2041. Bangladesh is now scheduled to officially become a developing country in 2026 under the visionary leadership of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina", the Jatiya Sangsad Whip said.
"Under the acumen leadership of Bangabandhu's daughter Sheikh Hasina, the government is constructing the Padma bridge with its own resources which will be opened to traiffic in June this year", he said.
Later, an award-giving ceremony of annual sports competition and a reception program for brilliant students were held at the school.
Chaired by Dinajpur Jubilee High School's Managing Committee Chairman Saifuddin Akter, the program was conducted by Assistant Headmaster of the school Akram Hossain.
Dinajpur Sadar Upazila Chairman Imdad Sarker, Vice-Chairman Robiul Islam Suhag, Dinajpur District Education Officer Md Rafiqul Islam, Sadar Upazila Nirbahi Officer Mortuza Al Muyeed, Dinajpur Press Club General Secretary Subrata Majumber Dollar, District Mohila Awami League General Secretary Tarikun Begum Labun, Shahar Awami League acting President Raihan Kabir Sohag, Vice-President Debashish Bhattacharya, General Secretary SM Khalequzzaman Raju, Jubilee High School Headmaster Bunu Biswas, Kotwali Police Station Officer-in-Charge Mozaffar Hossain were present on the occasion.
Later, a pleasant cultural program was organized to entertain the audiences.
