Small scale women entrepreneurs in Rangamati district affected by Covid-19 pandemic have received financial aid. Ministry of Chittagong Hill Tracts Affairs in collaboration with Rangamati Hill District Council stood beside women entrepreneurs to help them to come out from the impact of the pandemic.
Dipankar Talukdar, president of standing committee on Ministry of Chittagong Hill Tracts Affairs, distributed the financial support among the women entrepreneurs at the conference room of Rangamati Hill District Council on Tuesday.
A total of 120 women entrepreneurs from 120 firms of 10 upazilas of the district have received financial support for Tk 30,000 each. While distributing the financial aid, Dipankar Talukdar MP urged the women entrepreneurs to use the money properly. Rangamati Hill District Council member Jharna Khisa presided over the financial support distribution program while RHDC Chief Executive Officer Md Ashraful Islam, Zila Parishad members Md Musa Matabbar and Aungsui Chhain Chowdhury were present as special guests.
Rangamati Hill District Council Executive Officer Nuruddin Mohammad Shibli delivered the welcome speech.
Members of the district council, among others, were present at the time.
