Iron sheets, cash aid distributed in Haluaghat

Corrugated iron sheets and cash aid were distributed among poor people affected by natural calamities Haluaghat upazila of Mymensingh with an aim to rehabilitate them. Under the humanitarian aid program, the upazila administration distributed the iron sheets and cash aid at upazila parishad premises on Friday.Under the management of upazila project implementation office, Member of Parliament from Mymensingh-5 constituency Jewel Areng attended the program as the chief guest while Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) Md Sohel Rana was in the chair. A total of 37 bundles of iron sheets and Tk 1.11 lakh as cash aid were distributed among a total of 17 men and women from various unions of the upazila.

Haluaghat Upazila Chairman Mahmudul Haque Sayem, Vice-Chairman Sakhawat Hossain Fakir, Upazila Awami League member Kobirul Islam Beg, Upazila Jubo League Convener Md Nazim Uddin, Upazila Rural Poverty Alleviation Officer Md Aminur Rahman, Project Implementation Officer Md Alal Uddin and Deputy Assistant Engineer Md Anowar Hossain Shamim were present as special guests.
