"The day my Kripa Di's wedding was finalized, Maa was on cloud 9! She couldn't stop fussing over every detail-from the food, decor, outfits…you name it all! She'd even decided the songs she wanted to perform on. She'd tell Di, 'Tere sangeet pe sabse best performance hogi!' But who knew, there'd be no sangeet nor its star performer…

Just a month before the wedding, Maa came home after shopping & went to her room to rest. Suddenly, she held the back of her neck, sweating profusely. We took her to the doctor, who said, 'She's fallen into a coma.' We were shocked. We found out she'd had internal bleeding in her brain, & the chances of her survival were 0.1%.

We went numb-it was hard to react. I couldn't wrap my head around what was happening. I mean, hours before, she was perfectly fine, & now here she was lying unconscious. It felt like life was playing a joke on us!

But I'd sit next to Maa & talk to her. I'd say, 'We have so much to do!' But she wouldn't respond, & a few days later, we lost her.
We were shattered. Papa supported us. He said, 'To keep Maa alive, we'll donate her organs.'

And together, we decided to donate her liver, lungs, kidneys, & eyes. The next few days were all a blur to me; thankfully, my relatives stepped up. Dadi even took Maa's responsibilities.

You know, a few days later, when all of Maa's rituals were over, we thought of postponing the wedding. But Papa refused, he said, 'Jaisa vo chahti thi, vaisa hi hoga.' So, we started the preparations. We tried our best to make this wedding as perfect as Maa wanted, but still, it felt incomplete. We couldn't help but think, 'What's the point of all this?' That one person who was the most excited is not even here. Especially on her wedding day, none of us could hold back our tears; we just kept crying every moment we got.
