Coast guard detains 4 robbers from Meghna river

 
Members of Bangladesh Coast Guard (BCG) have detained 4 robbers along with some local weapons from the Meghna River.

Lieutenant Commander Khandaker Munif Taki, media officer at coast guard headquarters, revealed the information on Thursday (December 1).

He said, "On a tip-off, BCG Base Bhola led by Lieutenant M Fazlul Haque conducted an operation in Char area of Bhola adjacent to Meghna river on Thursday. During the drive, four active robbers including leader of 'Abdullah Bahini' were detained. One local pistol along with four rounds of bullet and other local weapons were seized from their possession."

Later, the detained robbers along with seized weapons were handed over to Bhula Sadar police station for taking further actions, the media officer added.
