Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) recovered a video that contains sensational activities of militant outfit 'Jamatul Ansar Fil Hindal Sharqiya' and its several training camps in remote areas of Bandarban.
RAB's Legal and Media Wing Director Commander Khandaker Al Moin said this at a press conference in the capital on Tuesday.
He said, "The recovered video showed several training camps of militants in remote areas of Bandarban. Amir Anisur Rahman alias Mahmud of 'Jamatul Ansar Fil Hindal Sharqiya' is seen at the beginning of the video." At the beginning of the video that was screened for the journalists it was seen that right behind Amir Anisur Rahman, there was a trainer of the armed organization Kuki-Chin National Front (KNF) in the Chattogram Hill Tracts.
RAB said it arrested the militant organization's military wing chief Masukur Rahman alias Ranabir and his associate Abul Bashar Mridha alias Alam from Kutupalong of Ukhia in Cox's Bazar adjacent to a Rohingya camp in the early hours of Monday.
RAB said they found a video containing militancy training activities in a mobile handset that was seized from the procession of Masukur Rahman. The video contents were recorded during a period from 2021 to 2022.
RAB official Khandaker Al Moin said two members who were in overall charge of military operations or training were seen in different camps. Sabbir alias Karse and Didar alias Champai were seen in the video, he said, adding that military activities or training in the camps were divided into two parts. Both Sabbir and Didar have been assigned to look after the two parts, he said.
Masukur Rahman, the head of the military wing, who was arrested on Monday, was looking after the entire military operation. Two others were identified as Saleh and Al-Amin in the video.
