Major General AKM Nazmul Hasan new BGB DG

 
Major General AKM Nazmul Hasan has been appointed in the post of Director General of Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB). Before this appointment, Major General AKM Nazmul Hasan served as the Director General of Bangladesh Ansar-VDP.

Major General AKM Nazmul Hasan was born in Faridpur on 2 January 1969. He joined Bangladesh Military Academy in the 18th long course on 15 July 1986. He became a commissioned officer in Bangladesh Army on 24 June 1988.

Major General AKM Nazmul Hasan obtained Bachelor of Science (BSC) from Chittagong University and Master of Defence Studies (MDS) from National University. He accomplished Army Staff Course from Defence Services Command and Staff College and National Defence Course from National Defence College (NDC).

Major General AKM Nazmul Hasan attended different seminars, training programs and workshops at home and abroad during his decorated career. He successfully participated in UN peacekeeping missions in Bosnia-Herzegovina and Sudan. 

In his personal life, Major General AKM Nazmul Hasan is married to Monowara Begum. The couple is blessed with a daughter.
