Agriculture fair begins in Madhabpur
A three-daylong agriculture fair was inaugurated on Madhabpur upazila parishad premises in Habiganj on Thursday.
State Minister for Civil Aviation and Tourism Advocate Mahbub Ali MP inaugurated the fair as the chief guest.
The Department of Agricultural Extension (DAE) organized the fair under Tuber Crop Development Project.
On the occasion, a colorful rally brought out where a large number of people including officers from various departments in the upazila, teachers, chairmen, councillors, journalists, farmers and students took part.

Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) Monzur Ahsan presided over the program.
Speaking the occasion, Agriculture Officer Md Al Mamun urged the farmers to use fallow lands to cultivate tuber crops which will meet the malnutrition problem. Maize harvesting machine, rice transplanter, foot pump, reaper, combine harvester machine have been displayed in the fair.
Mahmudul Hasan, coordinator of Lal Teer Seed Company Limited, suggested the farmers and nurserymen in the program to use seeds from Lal Teer to earn bumper yield.
