The proposed budget for the year 2023-2024 of Nakla municipality of Sherpur has been announced on Tuesday morning.
Mayor of the municipality Hafizur Rahman Liton announced the potential budget of Tk 64 crore 39 lakh 85 thousand 865 at the municipality conference room.
He announced the potential expenditure of Tk 62 crore 99 lakh 50 thousand. A surplus (capital) of 1 crore 40 lakh 35 thousand 865 taka has been kept in this budget. Nakla Municipality Mayor Hafizur Rahman Liton presided over the budget program and Municipal Secretary Monirul Hasan Azad gave a welcome speech at the potential budget.
In the budget revenue (general section) income was shown Tk 12 crore 2 thousand 430 and revenue expenditure Tk 11 crore 39 lakh 50 thousand. In the budget revenue surplus from the general section was shown Tk 74 lakh 52 thousand 430.
In the budget development sector income was shown Tk 52 crore 25 lakh 83 thousand 435 and expenditure Tk 51 crore 60 lakh. In the budget development sector surplus was shown Tk 65 lakh 83 thousand 435. The Mayor said that depicted different side of income for the budget. In the budget importance has been given on repairing of roods, extension of water supply and electricity, Mayor Hafizur Rahman Liton added.
Upazila Parishad Chairman Shah Mohammad Borhan Uddin, Upazila Awami League President Ambia Khatun, General Secretary FF Shafiqul Islam Zinnah, Vice President Ferdousur Rahman Jewel and other leaders of upazila AL, Upazila Parishad Vice Chairman Mohammad Saroar Alam Talukdar, former Upazila Muktijoddha Sangsad Command Council Commander FF Abul Mansur, Acting Principal of Govt Haji Zalmamud College Altab Ali, Assistant Engineer Fakhar Uddin Ahmed, Reserved Women Councilors and General Councilors of Municipal Council, Municipal Accountant Ferdousur Rahman and Assistant Tax Collector Mosharraf Hossain and other officials-employees of municipal, leaders of Upazila AL and affiliated organizations, leaders of Nakla Press Club, journalist of different media, representatives of different levels, officials and employees of different levels working in public and private offices, teachers, Imam-Moazzem and local dignitaries and people of different professions were present.
