Bangladesh Ansar and Village Defence Party (VDP) have extended helping hands to the victims of the fire outbreak which took place in the capital's Mohammadpur Agricultural Market a couple of days ago.
Ansar-VDP cooperated with fire service in extinguishing the fire, participated in the rescue work, kept up law and order and distributed lunch to the forces that joined to blow out the fire and rescue victims.
Five platoons of Ansar and two platoons of Ansar Guard Battalion (AGB) were deployed on the spot. AGB Director Rajeeb Hossain and other Ansar officers were present at that time. Ansar-VDP also prepared a list of the affected shop owners in association with district administration. Midday meals were served to shop owners, employees, fire fighters, police personnel, journalists and others by Ansar-VDP on behalf of Ansar-VDP Director General.
