11 thousand free meal for MASTUL Foundation 11 years anniversary
On the occasion of the 11th anniversary of MASTUL Foundation, a free day meal will be distributed to the needy from Mastul Mehmankhana for the whole month. This initiative is for 11,000 low-income people who cannot eat at noon due to lack of money.
On October 19, 2012, MASTUL Foundation officially started its journey on the birthday of the Founder Kazi Reaz Rahman. Mastul's story begins with teaching street children at Rabindra Sarobar. Here Mastul there he saw many children dropping out just to arrange their own food or to support their families to feed them. The Mastul Mehmankhana Program has been started since 2019 so that no helpless person has to suffer from hunger.
There are many people in Dhaka city who come far away from home for work and They cannot go home or eat full stomach due to lack of money. The celebration is for them. Every day more than hundreds of such helpless day laborers, street children, elderly parents with no family come as guests at Mastul Mehmankhana and have their lunch willll. Sometimes, MASTUL volunteers’ pack food and distribute it at Rabindra sarobar, Shahbagh or Mohammadpur Beribadh.
Kazi Reaz Rahman, Founder and Executive Director of MASTUL Foundation, commented on this initiative, "All our work is for the purpose of the great creator Allah - to achieve the satisfaction of the almighty by attaining the welfare of the neglected people of the country, regardless of caste, religion, caste. Therefore, MASTUL'S main goal is to help create a beautiful social system where there will be no poverty, no needy people, no hungry people, no drop out children. We are constantly working towards achieving this goal. However, while reaching the goal, the biggest challenge we face is hunger. Many people in Dhaka city cannot have three meals a day and those people working far from home find it hard to have lunch from a hotel due to lack of money. So this anniversary we have taken the initiative to work for the purpose of ensuring lunch for the helpless people"
MASTUL Foundation is a government-registered charity-based organization and has its own School, Madrasah and Shelter Home where there are more than a hundred parentless/orphaned students staying as a residential/non-residential. Apart from this, more than a thousand underprivileged talented students are being provided health, nutritious food, child rights and basic needs in project schools in some districts. MASTUL Foundation also has a Sewing Training Center and Computer Training Center through which the underprivileged population is empowered. Besides, 1000 people become self-reliant under the Zakat Empowerment Scheme. In addition, there is a Burial-Burial Service Project, through which more than 3000 bodies have been buried since the beginning of Covid -19. There is MASTUL MehmanKhana where almost hundreds of day laborers enjoy a decent meal every day.
