Leaders and activists of Awami League joined the party's peace rally on Saturday organized by the party's Dhaka Metropolitan North and South units carrying bamboo and hockey sticks.

From the morning, party leaders and activists started marching towards the south gate of Baitul Mukarram mosque from different areas of the capital.
Apart from this, people from different areas were seen going to the rally in the form of processions in pickups, buses, motorcycles etcetera. At the time, they were seen shouting slogans supporting the party.

Around the area of the rally venue, many of them are seen standing with sticks in their hands. Apart from this, various processions are going to the gathering place through zero point in front of the secretariat. Many in the procession were seen carrying sticks and flags of the country on thick pipes.

Almost a maximum of them were found holding bamboo sticks and sticks with flags. Some of them were also carrying hockey sticks and steel pipes.
When asked in this regard, they mentioned safety measures to protect themselves from Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) and Jamaat activists.
