A six-member Scottish delegation, led by Member of the Scottish Parliament (MSP) and Scotland Cross Party Group Convener Foysol Hussain Choudhury, on Sunday paid a courtesy call on Speaker of the Jatiya Sangsad (JS) Dr Shirin Sharmin Chaudhury at the latter's office in Dhaka.
During the meeting, they discussed various issues including bilateral friendly relations, parliamentary session, education system and parliamentary elections, said an official handout, BSS reports.
The Speaker said that Bangladesh-Scotland have bilateral friendly relations. She said that it is possible to strengthen this relationship by exchanging mutual visits between parliamentary alliance groups.
Foysol Hussain Choudhury said that International university campuses can be established in Bangladesh as the country is advancing in the field of education.He also lauded Dr Shirin for performing her duties efficiently as the first woman Speaker of Bangladesh.
