Foreign Secretary (Senior Secretary) Masud Bin Momen said, "Bangladesh has impressive success stories in women empowerment and development under the dynamic leadership of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina."
He also reiterated Bangladesh's commitment to send more women in peacekeeping missions especially in the senior positions as he spoke in an event on enhancing women's participation in UN peacekeeping.
Foreign Secretary Masud Bin Momen is currently attending UN Peacekeeping Ministerial in Accra, Ghana as a part of the high-level Bangladesh delegation led by Foreign Minister Dr. A.K. Abdul Momen, MP.
Masud Bin Momen also engaged in talks with Angelo de Leon, Undersecretary of Defense of the Philippines during the UN Peacekeeping Ministerial Meeting in Accra, Ghana.
The discussion encompassed several crucial bilateral matters, reads a press release from Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MOFA). The meeting primarily centered on key issues such as Rohingya Repatriation, cooperation within the United Nations Peacekeeping Operations (UNPKO), security measures, cyber security and the handling of natural disasters.
This significant conversation between Bangladesh and the Philippines underscores their commitment to addressing mutual concerns and fostering collaboration on various fronts.
