Welcome 2024

Welcome 2024

Within a couple of days entire globe is welcoming the dawn of new English calendar year 2024. That is why the humanity around is elated and ebullient. All of us wishes to forget all the remorse and poignant moments of the year 2023. During the last two years, Russia Ukraine War and Palestine Israel War, both have badly eaten up the vitals of human mind and heart. That is why entire humanity around the globe are preaching the gospel of peace and calmness. The moot point lying in front of us is that are we going to enjoy incoming new English calendar year 2024. It is indeed a tough proposition for this writer from Kolkata, India. Still I as an Indian writer, always feel that we should always be optimistic instead of being pessimistic. Due to the impact of above wars it has been well analysed by me citizens of the globe that humanity around the globe were badly disturbed politically, socially, economically and various other common issues. There might be various issues during the year 2023. Among all the major ones are stated as such, climate change, political and social destabilisation, environmental disaster, nuclear holocaust, deleterious pandemic, deforestation, destruction of human habitation, water scarcity, economic crisis etc. But this writer being an Indian national by birth. Hence decides to focus upon two closer and cordial nations of South Asian Sub-Continent India and Bangladesh in concurrence to my column.

As new English calendar is just knocking at the door. I find that citizens of India and Bangladesh are in an elated state of mind about upcoming new English calendar year 2024. Though price rise is the biggest issue in both nations. Apart from the above the parliamentary elections in both nations are no doubt priority issues to the citizens.

Bangladesh parliamentary election is just knocking at the door. The scheduled fixture is on January 7. Though disruptions are being initiated by vicious opposition forces. There is a tendency on the part of opposition forces to destabilise this rising South Asian nation. Which is on the verge of rising in tune with global level. Honourable Prime Minister of Peoples Republic of Bangladesh Sheikh Hasina Wazed is sincerely trying her level best to steer the nation to glorious heights. That is why she is now globally acclaimed in a wide-ranging manner. Towards the end of the year 2023 a reputed British Media brought out a special supplement in her honour. This supplement has no doubt has brought wide ranging encomiums upon Sheikh Hasina Wazed. Along with Sheikh Hasina kudos also goes to her son Swajib Wazed Joy and Saima Wazed Putul. Apart from the above, also Sheikh Rehana, younger sister of Sheikh Hasina also deserves utmost plaudits from citizens of her nation as well as from other parts of the globe.

Apart from the Bangladesh parliamentary elections, countdown for Indian parliamentary is expected to begin from the month of January or February. Bangladesh parliamentary elections will be over within a day. But as per Indian one is concerned, it is a long drawn processes. 29 states and 9 union territories. Not a matter of joke. Very tough going for CEC. Very recently BJP government has taken a decision to keep the management of parliamentary election completely in their hand. There is a mixture of positive and negative aspects implied in it. But the decision taken has to be implied in proper management of governance. The opposition benches are raising hue and cry in this regard.

Very recently new verdict has been made in India. A bill has been placed on the tables of Indian parliament. That the appointment of election commissioner of the government of India will made by the honourable President with the cognizance of various other committees to be formulated by the honourable Prime Minister of India. Same way I find that the processis practised in Bangladesh too.

Despite all the odds, citizens of India and Bangladesh are in a worrisome state of affairs. They sincerely cherish peace and tranquillity not only in their nations. But also around the globe.

The way global citizens suffered during the bygone year 2023, doesn’t prefer to have similar fate during the New Year. We are no doubt welcoming the advent of New Year but our worries are that there should not be destabilising of any matter. Such as socio-political, economic and geopolitical disturbances.

As per economic scenarios likely to be evinced during the New Year 2024. There will be an interim Budget. As because Indian Parliamentary elections are knocking at the door. Prices of all essential items are likely to be reduced. After the formation of new government nobody knows what will be the fate of India post oath taking ceremony of new government. Anyhow time will give us the proper answer to my introspections.

As per global scenarios we evince then we find that there is a surge of optimism during the new English calendar year 2024 in comparison to bygone year 2023. The same feelings we generate every year in our mind. That new English calendar year will be an eventful one for all of us around the globe. But will it be the same so during 2024. I doubt anybody has a proper answer to it.

Everything depends upon individual efforts and initiatives. The more we drill on our respective fields, the more the success ladder will reach to respective souls of the globe. No use of blaming any vicious forces. Rather our sincerest and dedicated efforts should be spearheaded to its optimum level.

Summing up my above discourses one point always suffice our mind. That we should always garner upon self so as to carry upon our life with courage and determination. However all of us should bear the ethical aspects of life. Apart from the above there should be prevalence of sound and balanced governance. So that development in both India and governance does not become jeopardised like rest of the globe.
