Eight theatre actresses honoured on Women's Day

Eight talented actresses of Bangladesh who have delivered outstanding solo performances in theatres have been awarded with the “Nari Natya Sammanna 2024” award.

Kanchkhela Repertory Theatre honoured the eight theatre actresses at the opening ceremony of the “Teer-Kanchkhela Natya Utsab and Nari Natya Sammanna 2024” held at Mahila Samiti Auditorium on Friday in celebration of the International Women's Day, says a press release.

The award recipients are: Rosey Siddiqui (Dhaka Theatre), Tonima Hamid (Natyachakra), Nowshin Islam Disha (Byatikrom Natyagosthi), Momena Chowdhury (Shunyon Repertory Theatre), Nazneen Hasan Chumki (Desh Natok), Shamsi Ara Sayeka (Padatik Natya Sangsad), Hasina Safina Banu Urmi (Saptarshi Theatre), and Juyena Shabnam (Swapnadal).
