An emergency meetingof the District Disaster Management Committee was held on Saturday (May 25)night at the Zoom platform to coordinateand prepare for Cyclone Rimal, Chittagong District Commissioner Abul BasarMohammad Fakhruzzaman presided over this meeting.
Total of 295 medicalteams have been formed under the supervision of the District Civil Surgeon, hesaid. A total of 295 medical teams formed including 200 at union level, 5 teamsin each upazila health complex, 9 teams in urban dispensaries and 5 in general hospitals.About 300,000 tablets and 400,000 food saline are stocked for waterpurification.
8 thousand 880volunteers of Cyclone Preparedness Program (CPP) are ready in Chittagong protectpeoples from Cyclone Rimal. There are 5000 Red Crescent Society volunteers.Apart from this, BNCC and Scout volunteers have been kept ready.
