This year, Mastul Foundation has taken the initiative to distribute sacrificial meat to some families in the remote areas of the country and Gaza in Palestine.
Eid-ul-Azha is a significant Muslim festival, and MASTUL Foundation is celebrating by distributing Qurbani meat to 20,000 families in need across Bangladesh, particularly in remote areas and cyclone-affected regions. Additionally, they will provide Qurbani meat to 1,000 families in Gaza, Palestine. As always, the distribution will adhere to Islamic law.
Kazi Reaz Rahman, the founder of MASTUL Foundation, highlights that many underprivileged families eagerly anticipate Eid-ul-Azha as their only opportunity to eat meat. He emphasizes the dignity of these families who wouldn't ask for meat, and the foundation's efforts to ensure they can partake in the tradition.
A parent of a Mastul School and Madrasah student, who wishes to remain anonymous, inquired with the school's headmaster, Nurul Awal, about whether the Mastul Foundation would be distributing Qurbani meat this year. The parent expressed the financial difficulties of affording meat for their family and shared the eagerness of their children for the Qurbani meat, hoping to motivate them to study harder by promising a meat reward.
Raihan Rahman, who oversees the Qurbani project, urges those who are able to donate to consider doing so. He emphasizes the significance of Qurbani as a selfless act and highlights that the beneficiaries are low-income individuals who eagerly anticipate this opportunity. The project aims to distribute meat to 2,000 families over three days and welcomes any support.
MASTUL Foundation, a government-registered charity in Bangladesh, has initiated multiple projects for social welfare. They've performed over 3,000 burials since the pandemic began, and their school, madrasa, and shelter home care for over 100 orphans. The Foundation also supports over 1,000 underprivileged students with essential needs and provides vocational training to empower disadvantaged communities. Additionally, they have helped over thousand individuals become self-reliant and operate a food service for the needy. They also plan to extend support to Gaza, focusing on healthcare, education, women's empowerment, sanitation, and housing.
