BGB assists thousands of flood victims with relief goods, medicines


The members of Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) have so far distributed relief materials and provided medical services to thousands of people of the flood affected districts of the country.

BGB has rescued 2,914 people from the flood-hit areas, distributed relief materials to 63,714 families and provided free medical service and medicines to 23,311 patients. Since 21 August 2024, BGB has distributed relief materials in Feni, Cumilla, Noakhali, Brahmanbaria, Moulvibazar, Khagrachhari, Rangamati, Bandarban, Chattogram and Khulna.

2,200 individuals, including 400 prisoners and staff at Feni Jail, have been provided with cooked meals, various dry foods, and clean drinking water.
In addition, Feni, Cumilla, Noakhali, Moulvibazar, Khagrachhari, Rangamati have received free medical treatment and medicines through medical camps run by BGB.

Furthermore, BGB along with local residents repaired and reinforced dams at Arannyapur on the banks of the Gomti River at Bibir Bazar in Cumilla.
