Two drug traders held with yaba pills in Saturia

Police arrested two drug traders with 702 pieces of yaba tablets from Kamta Golra highway road in Saturia upazila of Manikganj on Sunday.
The arrestees have been identified as Habibur Rahman, 30, son of Abdul Jalil of Sutipara village under Dhamrai upazila and Rashidul Islam, 30, son of Shukur Ali of Goaladi village under the same upazila.

According to the police, acting on a tip-off, a police team from Saturia police station conducted a raid at Kamta Golra highway road of the upazila at around 9:00pm on Sunday.

At that time, police arrested two drug traders with 702 pieces of yaba tablets.  A private car, two android mobile phones and cash Tk 21,000 were also seized on the occasion.

Md Shahinul Islam, officer-in-charge of Saturia police station, said, "A case has been filed in this connection."

"We are working to implement zero tolerance policy on drugs. No one will be spared who is involved in drugs", the OC added.
