The Chief Adviser of the interim government Professor Dr. Muhammad Yunus has assured the job seekers of meeting their demand to raise the age limit for entering government jobs.
He gave the assurance when a five-member team of the job aspirants met him at the State Guest House Jamuna on Monday afternoon, Russell, a member of the team, told the reporters after the meeting. "Chief Adviser Professor Dr Muhammad Yunus has full support to our demand for extending the age limit for entering government jobs to 35. He assured us of meeting the demand," he said.
Russell said Professor Dr. Muhammad Yunus came home after a long journey. That is why they held a meeting with advisers Asif Mahmud and Nahid Islam for an hour.
During the discussion, they talked to Abdul Muyeed Chowdhury, the convener of the committee formed to review the possibility of increasing the age limit for government jobs, over the phone in this regard, Russell added. Russell also said their team will discuss with the Secretary of the Public Administration Ministry onMonday about the implementation of the demand.
