NSC requests Youth and Sports Ministry to remove Shahed Reza from BOA

 
The National Sports Council (NSC) has requested the Ministry of Youth and Sports to remove Syed Shahed Reza from the Secretary General post of Bangladesh Olympic Association (BOA). A letter regarding this matter was issued to the Secretary of Ministry of Youth and Sports on 28 October 2024 which was signed by NSC Secretary Md. Aminul Islam NDC. 

 
The above letter states that citing the name of Syed Shahed Reza as immediate past BOA Secretary General is wrong in terms of statutory laws. According to this letter, the appointment of Syed Shahed Reza in the post of Secretary General in Bangladesh Olympic Association is totally invalid.

The above letter stated a couple of specific terms including Void ab initio (to be treated as invalid from the outset). Outset means beginning, for better understanding of the valued readers of The Asian Age. Another such term is Quo Warranto which stands for "Authorization". These two terminologies have been used in the letter to signify the necessity to terminate Syed Shahed Reza from the BOA Secretary General position. The above letter requested the Ministry of Youth and Sports to examine different aspects of the point about removing Syed Shahed Reza from his post in BOA and to execute required measures to this end.

Allegations show that Syed Shahed Reza is infamous as a drug addict and a womanizer in BOA. He was a straight away beneficiary of the corruption, nepotism, irregularities, discrepancies that reigned Bangladesh from 2009 to 2024 under the tyrannical headship of ousted Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina. Syed Shahed Reza joined a broad number of Awami League party programs sitting on the same stage with Awami League leaders who have been absconding or have been arrested since 5 August 2024. Syed Shahed Reza reportedly intimidated his critics and opponents on sports turf using names of higher officials belonging to a powerful intelligence department.
