ADB holds 5-day level 2 CP3P training on PPP

The Asian Development Bank (ADB) organized a 5-day training which is followed by exam on Level 2 of the Certified Public-Private Partnership Professional (CP3P) program at the Public-Private Partnership Authority (PPPA) office at Agargaon in the capital.

The training, held from February 9, 2025 to February 13, 2025 focused on enhancing the skills of professionals in managing and implementing successful public-private partnerships (PPPs) in Bangladesh.

PPP projects are crucial to addressing the country's infrastructure needs and ADB's CP3P training aims to develop the necessary expertise to execute these projects efficiently.

The Level 2 training, designed for professionals with a foundational understanding of PPPs, covered advanced topics such as project structuring, financial modeling, risk management and contract negotiation.

This program brought together government officials, private sector representatives and industry experts total 30 in numbers from Transport (Road, Bridge, Port, Airport), Power, Local Government, Post & Telecommunications, Science & Technology, Water to foster collaboration and improve the technical and financial skills essential for PPP success.

Participants engaged in practical exercises and case studies to deepen their understanding of complex PPP transactions.

"The development of a strong PPP framework is essential for Bangladesh's infrastructure growth, this training supports the government's efforts to enhance capacity and ensure that PPPs contribute to sustainable development. We thank ADB for their continuous support to the capacity building of government officials for the PPP Program" said Muhammad RafiqulIslam, Chief Executive Officer (Secretary) of PPPA.

The CP3P program- developed by ADB, World Bank Group, IDB, ISDB &EBRD, certification by APMG International, funded by PPIAF is globally recognized and supports professionals in the successful delivery of impactful PPP projects.
