BAU School Honors July Protest in Annul Sports Event

Rayhan Abid ,BAU Correspondent : The annual sports competition andprize distribution ceremony of Muktijoddha Smriti Vidyalaya, located on thepremises of Bangladesh Agricultural University (BAU), was held on Wednesday(February 26) .

As partof the event, students staged a play commemorating the July Protest, payingtribute to martyrs Abu Sayeed and Mir Mughed. The performances highlighted thesacrifices made during the movement, portraying the martyrs' unwaveringpatriotism and courage.

Dr. Md.Mahmudul Alam, Acting Headmaster of Muktijoddha Smriti Vidyalaya and Professorof the Department of Surgery and Obstetrics, presided over the program. BAUVice-Chancellor Professor Dr. A.K. Fazlul Haque Bhuiyan attended as the chiefguest, while Proctor Professor Dr. Md. Abdul Alim was present as the specialguest.

Addressingthe gathering, Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr. AK Fazlul Haque Bhuiyan praisedthe students' performance, stating, “The way the students have portrayed theJuly Protest is truly commendable. Martyrs like Sayeed and Mughed exemplifiedpatriotism, honesty, and the strength to stand against injustice. Theirsacrifices will forever be remembered in the history of Bengal.”
