Bogura DC stands by 35 injured fighters in July uprising

Bogura Deputy Commissioner (DC) Hosna Afroza stood by the 35 injured fighters in July revolution of 2024 with the hand-over of cheques at DC office conference room "Karatoa" in Bogura on Thursday afternoon.

DC Hosna Afroza attended the program as the chief guest while Superintendent of Police (SP) of Bogura Zedan Al Musa was present as special guest.

Former president of Bogura Press Club and acting Editor of "The Daily Bogra" Rezaul Hasan Ranu, President of Journalist Union of Bogura (JUB) Gonesh Das were also present as the invited guests.

ADC (General) Mejbaul Karim, officials of different departments, Journos of different print and electronic media and others were also present in the programme.

Injured in July revolution fruit trader Abdul Mojid of Shabgram area of Bogura said that a bullet hit in his eyes and lost his eyesight and his family falls in extreme uncertainty and the financial support from the Deputy Commissioner would help his family much ahead of Eid.  Ryad Pramanik of Naruli area of Bogura town, another injured of July revolution said that he is an examinee of the upcoming SSC examination this year and with the bullet-hit of police, he lost his left eye and he expressed his great gratitude to DC, Bogura, Hosna afroza for ensuring financial help. 

Deputy Commissioner Hosna Afroza said that the money from different project has been donated to the injured of July-August revolution and initially 11 injured were marked as 'A' category given 2 lakh taka each and 24 were marked as 'B' category given 11 lakh taka each.

They should not think alone and helpless and the district administration will stand beside them and financial support will be continued, added the DC.
