Lack of Interest in Reading Habit Sounds Derogatory for Our Culture

 

Reading habit is a vital aspect in human life and culture. It is through reading habit human mind broadens and enlarge to a new dimension. The modern age is the age of innovations in all fields. But merely innovating a concept should not be our sole objective. Rather the new ideas and innovations should be highlighted to the citizen’s mind in such a manner that it becomes embedded so deeply which helps to ignited our mind and culture which enables to establish our credibility in such a manner that paves the philosophy of our life in such a manner. Thereby it becomes a touching stone to glorify our lifestyle to sparkle unending. In order to electrify our life humanity need to emphasise on our reading habits.

My respected readers might wonder that what could be the reasons for emphasising on reading habits. There might be manifold reasons behind it. But despite all the odds I evince from close quarters that societies from across the globe are on the verge of deprivation of our inherent culture and traditions.

If I introspect my thoughts deeply, then it is interpreted as such that we are on the verge of squandering of our age old culture and values. I find that citizens of all Western nations, especially in nations under American and European continents are an avid reader on all subjects. This is also noticeable in some nations under Asian continents.

In some countries under Asian continent, we find that there has been glaring developments in reading habits. This is no doubt appreciable from rationalist and ethical points of view. Before this writer delve more into details, let me find out that what could be the probable reasons behind lack of interest in reading habits.

Among the key reasons for lack of interest in reading habits are stated as follow:

Lack of motivation by parents and family members.

Financial constraints.

Lack of ability in comprehending critical issues of current situations in and around the nations plus rest of the globe.

Challenges in time management

Deviation from technological upgradation of the modern age.

Lack of mixing with suitable temperament which retards the development of reading habits.

In order to delve into details regarding the declining in reading habits, I have analysed the key reasons behind it. In South Asians like India and Bangladesh, we find that reading habits has not accelerated as per desired expectations. We find that the parents are not inclined to motivate their child towards reading habits. The role of parents, grandparents and other members of the family have to play proactive roles. Otherwise the rising family members might not have the opportunity to prosper in life.

From other aspects, we find despite human beings an avid reader, there is a tendency to be of derogatory pattern. It pertains to excessive corrosive culture from family’s side.

Suppose in any family of India and Bangladesh, we find that if the parents are erudite alongside other family members. But due to pernicious influence of their families, there lays the temperament to be vicious which has its indelible impact upon the children. Exceptional cases are such that due to cultural ambience of the family, the product of modern generations become cultured and amiable in their approach towards fellow citizens.

The hypothesis saying that impact of reading habits bears profound impact upon modern generations. A child when surfacing in this world, always minutely watch their behavioural patterns of parents as well as that of grandparents. Creative and sophisticated parents always motivate their child to prosper in their life.

Now throwing light about the advantages of reading habits, some of the common ones are stated as follow:

Enlightenment of reading habits always colour our mind in such a manner. That always motivates our mind to think positive in our life. Basic thinking of our life is that we should always try our level best to ornament human life to a skyrocketing of destiny. In order to reach out to the coveted goal in life. We should always aim forward to be honest in life, not only to achieve success in life. With honesty upon self, we will definitely reach towards the pillar of success through the medium of reading.

In concurrence to our reading habits we sincerely expect to reach towards the pillar of success. But not at the cost of squandering our honesty and indigenous culture. As per the reading habits are concerned, it should be on a regular basis.

As the prices of books have accelerated so deeply on account of which there are many readers (especially from middle classes along with poor cum downtrodden sections), derive the facilities of reading habits from cheap book stores and classical libraries.

India being a developed nation, there are quite good number of libraries across the nation. Also there are good number of libraries based in Bangladesh plus rest of the globe. My query is that are we serious about books and English print Medias? To be transparent in our approach then we find that modern generations are running after money to save their families from economic crisis. Merely inclined towards money means derogation of our inherent culture and traditions.

Though different Medias have spruced up in the modern age. But can we challenge the societies that with the advent of the above how do we expect to ignore Print Medias which is on the verge of extinction thereby reading habits getting under the debris. It is no doubt a dismal phenomenon. Not only the development of reading habits are emphasized, along with it I strongly recommend about beautification of human culture. Merely paving the way towards acceleration of lack of interest in reading habits, we must try our level best to develop our inherent culture so that with the impact of intense reading habits our age old culture and tradition the derogation of our culture will take an upswing trend instead of having dwindling trend.

In order to throw light upon inherent Indian culture and traditions. We find that there are some traditional inherent cultures and traditions. Among all some of the common ones are stated as follow:

Hindu religion
Muslim religion
Buddhists religion
Jain religion
Sikh religion
Jain religion
Pharisee religion

Apart from the above data, there are various other religions which are not possible. This is because in this shortest possible of time, it is not possible for me to state about other religions. But I am trying to state more of such through my systems.
Apart from the above, the other common religions are Zoroastrianism, Judaism and Baha’ I faith.

That is why it is with regret I am forced to state that apart from upgrading the reading habits in India and Bangladesh, we must develop rational ethics and behavioural pattern which will enable us to develop our basic culture. In this regard, we find that if undergoing intensive reading habits in both India and Bangladesh then our traditional culture and ethos will develop instead of being a derogatory one.

Summation of my above discourses, we find that from the preliminary aspect humanity across the globe should try our level best to become human beings in its highest order. Subsequently we should be involved deeply in reading habits of different academic disciplines.

Our culture should not be transformed into a derogatory one. Rather it should be a refined one. But not at the cost of our derogatory culture. Again I reiterate that my thoughts pertaining to the above is based upon two closer and cordial nations of South Asian Sub-Continent India and Bangladesh.
