Pahela Baishakh celebrated at The Asian Age office

Journalists and officials of daily English newspaper The Asian Age celebrated the first day of Bengali New Year Pahela Baishakh at the newspaper's office in the capital on Tuesday (15 April 2025). The event was organized yesterday because there was a public holiday on 14 April.

Participants of the program had brisk conversations with one another and had native food like fruits, yoghurt and sweets. Almost everyone was wearing traditional Bengali attires while attending the celebration with the vibes of timeless Bengali cultural heritage.

Managing Editor of The Asian Age Additional IGP (Retd) Abdul Mabud PPM, Advisory Editor former Principal Information Officer AKM Shameem Choudhury, Publisher Al Amin Chowdhury, Professor Dr. Nazmul Ahsan Kalimullah, Department of Public Administration, Dhaka University, officials from the newspaper's Marketing Section, circulation team, The Asian Age Chairman's Executive Secretary Mahfuz Ul Hasib Chowdhury, sub editors and several contributors joined the colourful event.
