The Hongkong and Shanghai Banking Corporation Ltd in Bangladesh in partnership with Brac Business School, Brac University recently organized the finale and award giving ceremony of the "Business Case Competition 2025", according to a press release. The competition concluded with Team Adamantine claiming 1st place and a development fund of Tk2,00,000, earning the opportunity to represent Bangladesh in the HSBC/HKU Asia Pacific Business Case Competition in Hong Kong this June.
They will compete with teams from over 20 countries on a global stage. Broke Bankers took 2nd place and received Tk1,00,000, while Pencil Musketeers secured 3rd place, winning Tk50,000.
Md Anwar Hossain, Vice Chairman and CEO, Export Promotion Bureau and Administrator, BGMEA, was present as the chief guest. Md Mahbub ur Rahman, chief executive officer, HSBC Bangladesh and Dr Syed Ferhat Anwar, vice chancellor of Brac University also attended the program.
A distinguished panel of judges, including Rubaba Dowla, country managing director at Oracle Bangladesh, Nepal and Bhutan; Uzma Chowdhury, chairperson of Meghna Bank PLC and Finance Director of PRAN-RFL Group; and Dan Pasha, director of Trade and Investment, British High Commission; assessed the final presentations. The panel commended the finalists for their analytical depth, creativity, and professionalism, noting that the competition displayed the incredible potential of Bangladesh's future leaders.
