Adviser for Environment, Forests and Climate Change Ministry Syeda Rizwana Hasan has said that most of the sound pollutions take place because of people's lack of behavioural sense. Positive changes in people's behavioural patterns can significantly reduce sound pollution, Syeda Rizwana Hasan further said. She laid emphasis on waging a social movement to combat sound pollution.
Syeda Rizwana Hasan made the above remarks while addressing a workshop in the capital on Wednesday. The discussants in the workshop stressed that everyone's participation is required to save natural environment from further defilement.
Syeda Rizwana Hasan said speaking too loudly on sidewalks, unnecessary honking by transports, playing loudspeakers with high volume etcetera are reflections of people's insufficient knowledge on civic sense.
