The Ambassador of Denmark to Bangladesh, Christian Brix Møller, paid a courtesy visit to the Chief Executive Officer (Secretary) of the Public Private Partnership Authority (PPPA) Muhammad Rafiqul Islam at its Agargaon office in Dhaka on Monday.
The meeting featured a productive bilateral exchange, with a special focus on the Laldia Container Terminal Project of Chattogram Port Authority, a strategic initiative aimed at enhancing Bangladesh’s port capacity and trade competitiveness.
The PPP Authority reaffirmed its commitment to fostering sustainable infrastructure through global partnerships, highlighting Bangladesh’s readiness to work with leading international investors and development partners such as Denmark.
The discussion also centered on the Laldia Container Terminal Project at Chattogram Port, emphasizing how its establishment and operations will significantly enhance the port’s capacity, efficiency, and overall workability — a development that will ultimately bring substantial benefits to Bangladesh’s trade and economic growth.
In addition, Denmark expressed interest in exploring further collaboration, particularly in developing offshore wind energy generation projects in the coastal areas of Cox’s Bazar and Teknaf.
The visit reflects PPP Authority’s growing engagement with international stakeholders to position Bangladesh as a reliable and competitive destination for investment.
