Man Arrested in Arghakhanchi for Allegedly Killing Wife, Burying Body in Kitchen
A man has been arrested in Arghakhanchi district on charges of murdering his wife and concealing her body inside their kitchen.
According to District Police Office Chief Chakra Bahadur Malla, Kiran Gurung of Chhatradev Rural Municipality-4 was taken into custody on Tuesday. He is accused of killing his 34-year-old wife, Sumitra, a week ago and burying her body in the kitchen.
The incident came to light after a missing person report was filed regarding the couple’s daughter. During the police investigation, Sumitra’s decomposed body was discovered inside the house.
Police said Gurung confessed to the crime, admitting that he killed his wife in a fit of rage following a domestic dispute. He is originally from Naubahini Rural Municipality-1 in Pyuthan district.
Further investigation into the case is underway, police said.
