IFIC Bank Hosts “Festival of Youth 2025” in Sylhet

With the aim of providing the futuregeneration with basic knowledge of banking, cultivating a habit of saving, andoffering insights into financial management, IFIC Bank has organized a specialworkshop on financial literacy in Sylhet under the guidance of Bangladesh Bank,as part of the "Festival of Youth 2025." The workshop was recentlyheld on November 4, 2025, in collaboration with Sylhet Government Women’sCollege, at the college’s auditorium.

The event was chaired by the Principalof Sylhet Government Women’s College, Professor Bhubanjoy Acharjee. The Chief Guest was Mr. Khaled Ahmed,Executive Director of Bangladesh Bank’s Sylhet Office. Special guests includedMr. Shamsul Islam, Vice-Principal of Sylhet Government Women’s College, and Mr.Khandakar Anwar Ehtesham, Head of Branding, Communications & CorporateAffairs at IFIC Bank.

The workshop, attended by over 200students, featured Ms. Fariha Haider, Head of Centralized Retail Marketing atIFIC Bank, as the resource person. She provided detailed insights on enhancingprofessional skills, managing personal finances effectively, and tackling thetechnological challenges of the future.

It is worth highlighting that IFIC Bankhas been proactively conducting comprehensive financial literacy programsyear-round, reaching both urban and rural communities, and extending itsefforts to a wide range of educational institutions. These initiatives aredesigned not only to empower individuals with essential financial knowledge butalso to foster a culture of responsible financial management across diversedemographic groups.
