Dire torment looms large: Shameem Sayeedi

Jamaat-E-Islami nominated candidate for Pirojpur 2 constituency and Mawlana Delwar Hossain Saydee's son Shameem Sayeedi said "We had to go through deadly repressions during last 16 years but a much bigger torment is waiting for in days to come. We are prepared to lay down our life once again if required for saving Bangladesh."

Shameem Sayeedi made the above comments while addressing a rally in front of Salandar Islamia Kamil Madrassa at Pirojpur sadar upazila on Saturday (8 November 2025). Islamic scholars from different institutions joined the program. Shameem Sayeedi was the keynote speaker at the rally.

Shameem Sayeedi further said "We are right now having a beautiful environment but we can't say for sure that black clouds won't eclipse our fate once again. So, we must uphold unity. Conspiracies are going on against our country."

Shameem Sayeedi stated that political parties who have so far come to power have all along said that they would turn Bangladesh into Malaysia, Singapore or Canada. For the most part these corrupt rulers built up empires of illegal wealth in Canada Begum Para or escaped to India, Shameem Sayeedi commented. He urged the Bangladesh interim government to organize a nice and acceptable election. He warned that no more dummy elections will be endorsed.

In the same program, Islami Chhatra Shibir former President Delwar Hossain said "We must turn around and fight against all evil entities." Delwar Hossain added that building up a corruption-free Bangladesh can only be done by Jamaat-E-Islami.
