GNB begins Adolescent Mental Health & Suicide Prevention

On 26th November 2025, Good Neighbors Mirpur Family Development Project organized a comprehensive daylong campaign on “Adolescent Mental Health and Suicide Prevention" in the capital. The event brought together students, teachers, and community representatives to promote emotional well-being among adolescents.

The program featured a series of activities including a discussion session, rally, drama performance, quiz competition, and speech competition. A total of 160 secondary-level students and teachers from various educational institutions in the Mirpur area activelyparticipated.

Mr. Nurul Islam, Assistant Thana Education Officer, attended the event as the Chief Guest, while Psychologist Sadia Mobashwera was present as the Special Guest and shared insights on adolescent mental health challenges and preventive measures.

Good Neighbors continues to implement a range of initiatives aimed at strengthening mental health awareness in the community. As part of its ongoing efforts, the Mirpur FDP recently conducted a specialized training for secondary school teachers on “Mental Health and Suicide Prevention.”
